Who we are
Even Playground is a verified multi-sport platform for South African youth athletes. We act as a responsible party (POPIA) / controller (GDPR) for the personal information processed on the platform.
Information we process
Account details (name, email, mobile), athlete profile data (sport, performance metrics, media), and institutional/parental linkage records. Sensitive information about minors is collected only with appropriate consent.
Youth athletes (under 18)
Profiles of minors are private by default. Discovery Zone visibility is opt-in and shows only public-safe fields. Parent/guardian or institution verification is required before sensitive data is shared.
Lawful basis & consent
We process personal information under consent and legitimate interest. You may withdraw consent at any time, subject to legal retention obligations.
Your rights
You may request access, correction, deletion, or restriction of your personal information, and lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator (South Africa) or your local supervisory authority (EU/GDPR).
Data security
Passwords are hashed with Argon2id. Access is role-scoped and audit-logged. Data is hosted on infrastructure with industry-standard protections.
